Marci Lynne Butler Heaton, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, passed away on Tuesday, 25 March 2003 in a vehicle accident near New Orleans , Louisiana.
Born 7th of Sept., 1946 in Riverside, California to Charles Henry Butler and Gayle Neeley Butler. She was raised in Salmon, Idaho. Marci married Wayne Heaton 22 May 1971 in Los Angeles, CA and they were sealed on 09 December 1978 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She loved gardening, sewing, reading and serving others. She always took time to enjoy her family. She will be remembered as the strength of her family; one who was full of selfless, patient, faithful, Christ-like love. Marci and Wayne have always reached out to others with their unique personal touch.
Her Church callings included Relief Society Secretary, Librarian, and Youth Programs. Her charitable nature endured her to everyone she met. She is currently employed as an Urologist Nurse with Dr. Robert Cope, where she recently earned her CMA Certification.
Marci is survived by her husband Wayne, her children Traci Heaton, Teryl (Dan) Marden, Kristi (Gary) Zohner, Bevan Heaton, and her grandchildren Preston, McKenzie, Jessica, Kaytlin, Brock, and Jaden (all of St. George, Utah). Her sister Diane Woolsey (West Valley City, UT), and step siblings Barbara Behr (Santa Barbara, CA) and Charles Butler II (El Dorado, CA).
Viewing will be at the Metcalf Mortuary (300 West St. George Blvd) Sun., 30 March 2003 from 6-8pm. Funeral Services will be held Monday, 31 March 2003 at the St. George 19th Ward LDS Chapel (550 East 700 South, St. George, Utah) at 11 a.m., viewing 9:30-10:30 at Chapel.
