Robert Allen Taylor, 60, of Pleasant Grove returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, June 9, 2003 at his home surrounded by his family after a valiant battle with cancer.

He was born April 11, 1943 in Provo, Utah to Stanley and Sarah Durfey Taylor. He married Pamela Kennard on August 29, 1970 in Orem, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple.

Robert grew up in Provo and later moved to Orem, graduating from Orem High School in 1961. He joined the National Guard and worked at Geneva Steel. He was employed at BYU for 30 years, currently serving as a Supervisor in the Physical Facilities Department. Robert enjoyed being in the outdoors golfing, fishing, playing tennis, boating, hunting, horseback riding and especially being with his children and grandchildren. Robert was an active member of the LDS Church and enjoyed his time serving in the Scouting Program, helping his three sons earn their Eagle Scout Rank.
