For the first time in its five-year history, the Red Hot 4th Celebration at the new Usana Amphitheater will hold two shows on Thursday and Friday, July 3 and 4, to "celebrate America" and honor Utah's Iraqi Freedom military troops.
"We want people to come feel the patriotism and let these soldiers know that we as a community appreciate their services and this is a time to show them," said Bryce Jolley, Red Hot 4th Celebration executive producer.
Festivities on July 3 include performances by the Beach Boys, Beatles cover band Imagine and a traditional fireworks display.
The Utah Symphony will perform on July 4 along with Mark Chestnut, Joe Diffie and Tracy Lawrence. The fireworks display timed to patriotic songs played by the orchestra.
Jolley said F-16s from Hill Air Force Base will do a fly-over and, if possible, Blackhawk and Apache helicopters from Camp Williams will also be part of this year's celebration.
Reserved seating is $24 and lawn seating is $12.50. All military personnel with one guest are free.
Tickets are available by calling the Red Hot 4th Office at 582-4RED, Smith's Tix at 1-800-888-TIXX, the E Center or visiting redhot4th.com.
