Scott Seals (Readers' Forum, Aug. 27) will be right at home with the likes of Bob Wood and others in the Society for Scientific Exploration researching crash recovery of UFOs.
His statement that "We don't drive 20-year-old vehicles. We put them in space" is simply ridiculous. There are many, many planes and jets more than 20 years old that are still in service. That is what we should more accurately be comparing the shuttle to.
Is UVSC training and employing a new generation of nutty professors?
