Ruby Florance Olsen Thalmann
Larsen passed away from cancer on April 4, 2004 shortly after her 90th birthday.
She was born on March 17, 1914 to Louis Moroni and Ella Malinda Newell Olsen, in Lindon, Utah the seventh of nine children.
She married Arlow Thalmann in the Salt Lake Temple, September 18, 1931, he died Dec. 21, 1972. She married Wilford Larsen on Jan. 7, 1979, and he died Oct. 28, 1983.
She served in every organization on both ward and stake levels in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But spent most of her time teaching the youth, which she dearly loved. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, YESHARAH, worked in the Provo Temple, served a mission to South Carolina with her second husband and worked in the German extraction program. She was great lady and loved everyone and was loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her five children: Arlone (Don ) Taylor of Caliente, NV; Florance (Joe) Rausch of Canon City, CO; Dennis (Fran) Thalmann of Tooele, UT; Kerry Thalmann of Orem; LaNae (Walter) Knoell of Orem. A son-in-law Harold Johnson of Salt Lake City, a daughter-in-law Diana Thalmann of Orem and one sister Merlene (Don) Moss of Farmington. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands and four children Darlene Johnson, Brent Thalmann, DeVerl (child) and Richard (infant).
We would like to invite all family and friends to celebrate her life on Friday, April 9, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Orem Lakeridge Stake Center 158 East 1100 South, Orem Utah. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6- 9 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 S. State St, Orem, and also Friday one hour prior to the service at the ward chapel.
