I find it narrow-minded that Amy Brunvand and Susan Hansen (Readers' Forum, May 14) both claim to know what is best for the state of Utah by proclaiming the "true reasons" that Gov. Olene Walker did not win at the Republican convention. They seem incredulous that the delegates could make any decision that differs from their points of view.
As one of the 3,480 delegates who voted, all I can say is that after carefully studying the issues, weighing the factors, positions, backgrounds, statements and voting records of the various candidates, Walker was nowhere near the top of my list. I was not part of any secret conspiracy. She simply did not make the cut.
