Edith May Clegg Kroff, age 87, died gracefully at home, Friday, September 3, 2004 surrounded by her loving family.
Edith was born February 1, 1917 to Peter Vere Clegg and Annie May Bryan in Tooele, Utah. She was an active member of the LDS Church throughout her life. She married Eugene Kroff September 17, 1936 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was a lifelong resident of Tooele. She touched everyone she met with her unconditional love and soft, compassionate manner. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She enjoyed the simple things in life, especially music, flowers, and hummingbirds.
Edith is survived by her children, Robert (Carol), David, (Michele), Richard (Julie), Paul (Denise), Joel (Marium), Kathy (Howard) Fait, Bryan (Pam), Jerry (RoxAnne), 45 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Her eternal companion, Eugene, preceded her in death, along with her brother, Alan Clegg, and her sister, Margaret Garrish.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2004, at 11 a.m. at the Tooele Stake Center, 253 South 200 East. Viewing is Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Tate Mortuary, and at the Tooele Stake Center prior to the services. Interment in the Tooele City Cemetery.
