Julie Tanner was named regional private banker for Wells Fargo Women's Financial Services in Utah. Tanner has more than 31 years of business experience and has held many positions with Wells Fargo, including sales development consultant, branch manager and premier banker.
Love Communications, a Salt Lake-based advertising agency, announced three staff additions. Jessica Denny was hired as public relations manager. Before joining Love, Denny worked in Orange County as a public relations director for a corporate gift solutions company catering to Fortune 500 companies. Katie Bradley was hired as copywriter. Bradley previously served as an intern at another Salt Lake agency and worked as a copywriter for a New York City-based advertising agency. Liz Hoke was hired as a media coordinator. Hoke joined Love as an intern and now is responsible for media evaluation, market research and accounting duties.
Acordia Mountain West Inc., an insurance subsidiary of Wells Fargo & Co., announced that Mike Scott was promoted to commercial account executive. Scott will focus his efforts in the biotechnology industry.
XanGo, the Lehi-based creator of the mangosteen beverage, announced four staff changes. Craig Hale was hired as general counsel. He will oversee all legal affairs in the company's domestic and international markets. Bob Freeze was promoted to vice president of public relations. He previously served as director of public relations. Craig Johanson was promoted to senior director of marketing. Jason Pierce was promoted to senior manager, regional controller.
Elisabeth Blattner-Thompson was named chairwoman of the employment law department at Parsons Behle & Latimer, a Salt Lake law firm. Blattner-Thompson practices exclusively in the employment law area. She is a graduate of the U. and its College of Law.
Lynn Rowe was named chairman of the Utah Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy. He is a product manager for a local bank.
Ray L. Johnson was named president and chief executive officer for Solvay & CPC Barium GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Hanover, Germany. The company is a recently created worldwide joint venture between certain member companies of the Solvay Group and Chemical Products Corp. Johnson, a graduate of Tooele High School and Westminster College, joined Solvay Minerals Inc. in 1992. In 2003, he was named vice president of logistics and human resources for the newly formed Solvay Chemicals Inc.
Brandon McDougald was named an associate of the planning, architecture and engineering firm of CLC Associates. McDougald has been with CLC Associates for more than three years and serves as director of engineering for the Salt Lake office.
