Charles Herbert Sharp 1929 ~ 2005 Charles Herbert Sharp was born August 24, 1929 in Marlinton, West VA., and died on April 26, 2005 of cancer at his home in Salt Lake City. He married Noma Harris in the Logan LDS Temple on Feb. 9th, 1951. He served in the United States Army and Retired from the United States Air Force. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in History and a Master of Education Degree from Utah State University. Charles taught Seminary for the LDS Church for 13 years and worked at the Church Office Building as a Purchasing Coordinator for the Church Education System, where he retired. He served in numerous positions in the LDS church and most recently enjoyed working for the past 15 years as a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple. He is survived by his wife Noma Harris Sharp, Salt Lake City; four children, Marta (Kenny) Heap, Star Valley, WY; Anota (Thomas) Morgan, Roosevelt, UT; Charles H. Sharp, II (Sandra), Brigham City, UT; Loyal H. (Lori) Sharp, Yorba Linda, CA; 12 grandchildren, Christian, TR, Desiree, Tyler, Bandon, Chantel, Jenny, Dorian, Alex, Kassie, Tasha, and Zack; 11 great-grandchildren; Cody, Tommy, Alicia, Joey, Kylee, Brynne, Halle, Payson, Elizabeth, Anna, and Zoe; and 12 of 13 brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jack (Margaret) Sharp; and surviving Earl (Mildred) Sharp, Lew (the late Ann) Sharp, Dick (Jean) Sharp, Catherine (the late Robert) Baechtel, Craig (Betty) Sharp, Don (Millie) Sharp, Tom (Garnett) Sharp, Patricia (Joe) Lamoureux, Brenda (the late Marvin) Doss, Kay (Sam) Burke, Doug (Jean) Sharp, and Charlotte (Kenneth) Slagle. Funeral services will be held Sat., April 30, 2005 at 12:00 noon at the Capitol Hill First Ward Chapel, 142 West 200 North in Salt Lake. A viewing will be held from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the ward prior to services at the ward. The Sharp family wishes to express thanks and appreciation for their tender and loving care to Family Health and IHC Hospice.
