Anna Lenore Irving Bevan 1912 ~ 2005 Anna Lenore Irving Bevan, age 92, our dear mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away Monday May 16, 2005 of heart failure. She was born Sept 5, 1912 in West Jordan, Utah to Zina McRae Irving and Duncan Lafayette Irving. She grew up in Granger, Utah and was one of six children. She attended Granite and West High schools. She married Burdett Bevan Sept 24, 1938. She and Burdett made their home in Tooele where she worked hard to beautify the Bevan family home. Ann was an avid gardener and loved working in her yard with the flowers and vegetables that she shared with everyone. She was a cooperative weather observer with her husband, and son, Ned, for the National Weather Service for 46 years. Ann loved to bowl and was a member of several bowling leagues here in Tooele. In her youth she was an excellent softball player and played with her sisters on several teams in Salt Lake City. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved life and traveled many places around the country with her husband and their close friends, Beth and Fred Fonger. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Burdett; brothers, Irvor Irving, Wayne Irving, Bill Irving; and sister, Eloise (Jonnie) Zimmerman. She is survived by her sister, Lois Krause, Salt Lake City; son, Dick Bevan, Salt Lake City; son, Ned B. (Shauna) Bevan of Tooele; grandchildren, Sharol (Dan) Florence, Salt Lake City, Amanda Bevan, Ogden, Katie, Stephanie, and Patrick all of Tooele. She is also survived by a special niece Teddie Krause of Salt Lake City; sister-in-law, Ruby Irving of Bountiful; brother-in-law, Ross (Donna) Bevan of Salt Lake City; and many nieces and nephews who loved her. Graveside services will be held Wednesday May 18, 2005, 11 a.m. at the Tooele City Cemetery. Friends and family may call at Tate Mortuary Wednesday 9-10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
