Pat Brady, creator of the comic strip "Rose is Rose," has won the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben Award for "Cartoonist of the Year," the industry's highest award.

The Reuben Award is a statuette designed by and named after the society's first president, Rube Goldberg.

The strip, which is published daily in the Deseret Morning News, has also won the Wilbur Award from the Religious Public Relations Council.
