Pennsylvania-based Pilot Air Freight said Monday that its Salt Lake station provided revenues of $1.1 million for the second quarter, up 37.5 percent from the same quarter last year.

The station handled 2,409 shipments totaling 1.76 million pounds.

For the first half of the year, the station had revenues of $2 million, up 15 percent year over year. It handled 4,530 shipments totaling 3 million pounds.

The company provides transportation and logistics services. It has eight workers at its 8,500-square-foot Salt Lake facility.

As a whole, the company had second-quarter revenue of $72.9 million, up 7.8 percent. For the first half of 2005, it had revenue of $139.8 million, up 6.3 percent from the first half of 2004.
