Morris Murdock Travel, based in Salt Lake City, said Tuesday that it has acquired LDS Travel Study, a provider of travel for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

LDS Travel Study, founded after Brigham Young University closed its travel department, provides travel packages such as guided tours to LDS Church history sites and "Holy Land" sites in Israel and Egypt. Current or retired teachers from various BYU teaching departments and/or the LDS Church Education System often direct LDS Travel Study tours.
