Wells Owen Wright

BRIGHAM CITY- Wells Owen Wright, 94, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2008, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.
Wells was born on April 18, 1914, in Tabiona, Utah, a son of Owen Uriah and Eliza Matilda
Casper Wright.
He married his sweetheart Lois Jennie Ostrander on March 19, 1937, in Duchesne, Utah. Later their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Wells had been a farmer in Duchesne County and employed by Thiokol and later at Hyrum City power plant, retiring as foreman of the Brigham City power plant in Jan. 1986.
Wells enjoyed hobbies of hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, and
gardening.
Wells had been Branch President of Utahn Branch, 1st Counselor of Bridgeland Ward, Stake Missionary of the Duchesne Stake, High Priest Group Presidency in the Hyrum 3rd Ward, Brigham City 11th Ward and 6th Ward. Wells and Lois served a Mission in Sydney, Australia, and he also served several years as an Ogden Temple Ordinance Worker.
Surviving are his wife, Lois, Brigham City, UT; children; VaLoy (Jay) Wilson, Kaysville, UT; Kay (Bert) Hansen, Roosevelt, UT; Arlene
(Randall) Miller, Sugar City, ID; Wilma (Austin) Barnes, Phoenix, AZ; Vickie Wright, Brigham City, UT, 36 grandchildren, 95 great-grand-children and six great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister Elma Clark, West Bountiful, UT.
Preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Luella, who died at birth, four brothers and six sisters.
Funeral services will be held Fri., May 9, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Ward, 105 W. Fishburn, Brigham City.
Family and friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, and on Fri. from 9:30-10:40 a.m. at the church.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
