JE Dunn Construction has been selected to build a temple for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the southwest quadrant of the Interstate 435 and Shoal Creek Parkway interchange in Kansas City, Mo.

The final budget, scope and scheduling details are being developed,

Dunn spokeswoman Mary Moore said. But according to the church's Web

site, the Kansas City temple will be similar in design to the recently

dedicated Twin Falls Idaho Temple, which was a $20 million project.

The Kansas City temple will be the first Mormon temple to

be built in the Kansas City area and will be one of only 70 built or

planned in the United States.
