For BYU ... The Cougars are looking for their second straight win in a four-game October homestand.

The trends

For East Carolina ... The Pirates have won 25 of their last 29 games when scoring 30 or more points and they’ve lost 14 games in a row when scoring 20 or less points.

For BYU ... The Cougars are 48-2 at home when holding opponents to 24 points or less.

Road to victory

East Carolina will win if ... The Pirates can make big plays through the air against BYU’s defense and force turnovers.

BYU will win if ... The Cougars can finish drives and contain ECU’s running quarterback.

Opponent to watch

Key matchup

EAST CAROLINA’S RECEIVERS VS. BYU’S DEFENSIVE SECONDARY: The Cougars should be tested against ECU receiver Isaiah Jones and tight end Bryce Williams, who are athletic and are capable of put up big numbers.
