Brigham Young University's Vocal Point released its latest Christmas music video Tuesday: an a cappella cover of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24."
Members from the a cappella ensemble — Devin Flake, Jordan Hale, Adam Heimbigner, Kyle Lemperle, Spencer Myler, Cody Phillips, Carl Prince, Bryce Romney and Logan Shelton — were joined in the video by nine alumni singers.
According to the video, sounds were created by human voice and mouth with a little help from a guitar amp. The music is accompanied by the vivid background colors and eccentric suits, which were provided by OppoSuits, a company that makes self-proclaimed "ridiculous" and "unusual" patterned suits.
"Turn up your speakers, and get ready for a Christmas punch in the face," the group wrote in the video's comment section.
The original song was an instrumental medley of "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen" and "Carol of the Bells," which Vocal Point follows closely.
The song is available on Vocal Point's "He Is Born" album, which is available nationwide. Its release was the widest of any BYU album, according to byu.edu.
Vocal Point's YouTube channel has garnered more than 11 million views since the group joined YouTube in 2010.
