From styles such as classical and Broadway to contemporary and jazz, 13-year-old Lexi Walker continues to grow her musical presence.
Lexi appeared on "In Performance: Christmas Under the Stars," a BYUtv special that originally aired Dec. 6. During the special, Walker performed "A Merry Christmas to Me," and she posted a video of that performance Friday.
She also posted her rendition of a traditional French Christmas song, "Il Est Né le Divin Enfant." The videos have garnered more than 6,000 views.
Also during the BYUtv special, Gentri performed its medley of "What Child is This" and "I Wonder as I Wander," which recently topped Billboard's Hot Singles chart. Gentri also performed its rendition of "I Saw Three Ships."
Walker recently participated in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' “12 Days of Social” initiative promoting the Christmas video “A Savior Is Born."
The young vocalist appeared on NBC's "America's Got Talent" with the One Voice Children's Choir, and her rendition of "The First Noel" was featured on the Mormon Channel's website. Walker is also well-known for her viral video performances, such as her 2014 collaboration with Alex Boyé in “Let It Go," which garnered more than 74 million views, and her rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at a Real Salt Lake game in 2013, which reached more than 3 million views. She recently released an album, "Merry Christmas."
