World-famous disc jockey and record producer Kaskade will perform a free concert Sept. 4 in downtown Provo.

Kaskade, whose given name is Ryan Raddon, will entertain fans on Provo's Center Street as part of the sixth annual Rooftop Concert Series. Two Utah bands, The Brocks and Two Nations, will open for Kaskade.

The Grammy-nominated artist came in at No. 8 on Forbes' 2014 list of highest-paid DJs, and in April he drew the two largest crowds the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has ever seen.

Kaskade is also the father of three children and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, according to The Daily Beast. The 44-year-old attended Brigham Young University, served an LDS mission in Japan and then transferred to the University of Utah, where he began his DJ career. But he didn't know how far it would take him.

"I've always had a passion for music," Kaskade told the Deseret News in 2009. "But I never saw me as a musician for a living. I never thought that I could make a living. It never dawned on me."

Twenty years and 12 albums later, the artist is a regular on Billboard's Top 10 charts, according to a press release. After performing at the Rooftop Concert Series, he will release his newest album, "Automatic," on Sept. 25 and tour in cities across North America starting Oct. 1.
