In what is believed to be the biggest comeback in NBA history, the Utah Jazz overcame a 36-point deficit at the Delta Center to beat the Denver Nuggets 107-103 for their eighth win in a row.

The Nuggets shot 73 percent from the field in the first half and led 70-36 at halftime.

Karl Malone had 31 points, 17 rebounds and six assists.

Utah State grad Dick Motta had just barely taken over Denvers head coaching position from Bernie Bickerstaff a game before.
