Utahs defense held BYU to 196 yards of total offense as the Utes won 20-14 for their third straight win against BYU in Provo.

Utah freshman quarterback Darnell Arceneaux scored his second touchdown on a 7-yard run to put Utah ahead 17-14 in the fourth quarter.

BYU followed with a 14-play drive but the Cougars missed a 53-yard field goal attempt. Utah then held the ball for seven minutes with a 15-play drive and sophomore kicker Tommy Truhe made a 32-yard field goal with 1:39 remaining.
