PROVO — BYU has named Christian Faulconer the new executive director of student academic and advisement services, which helps students with admission, registration and financial aid.

Faulconer will oversee the admission department, financial aid department and registrar’s office. He will report to both academic and student life vice presidents.

He had been serving as the interim executive director of the division since March 2016. Previous to BYU, Faulconer was an executive for a handful of businesses as an entrepreneur and a management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers.

"We are pleased that Christian has accepted the position of executive director of SAAS," Jan Scharman, student life vice president, said in a statement. "We have had the opportunity to see him in action this past year and appreciate his expertise and enthusiasm for the work."
