Taking photos of poor people around the world has changed Aaron Bludworth's life.

Bludworth, a Mormon father of five, is the CEO of a marketing company that requires him to travel extensively. At some point in his travels last year, Bludworth began taking photos of people in humble circumstances. The more photos he snapped, the more real the people became, Bludworth told WCPO, a television station in Cincinnati.

"Through the lens, I think you see things differently. And that’s really apparent with people more than other things," Bludworth told columnist Lucy May. "I think you start to recognize that there’s not just a common class of people who are in poverty. People are there from a bunch of different circumstances. And if you engage with people, they become a lot more personal than just a category."

Bludworth went on to say taking these photos has everything to do with his Latter-day Saint faith.
