Utah State proved the previous years upset wasnt a fluke. Aggie sophomore Demario Brown ran for 153 yards and a score as USU took its second straight victory over Utah, this one 21-14.

It was coach John L. Smiths third win over Ron McBrides Utes (he also won while at Idaho). It was the first time since 1974-76 that USU beat Utah back-to-back.

The Aggie defense held Utahs Chris Fuamatu-Maafala to 66 yards and Juan Johnson to 26 yards. Rookie QB Jonathan Crosswhite was 19 for 30 for 222 yards and a TD.
