OGDEN — Farmington’s boys and girls cross country teams dominated the Region 5 championships on Friday at Weber Fairgrounds.
Farmington’s girls placed five runners in the top 10, led by individual winner Elisabeth Ferell.
The boys placed six runners in the top 10, although Bountiful’s Dalton Mortensen claimed the individual title.

MURRAY — Skyline’s girls and Olympus’ boys claimed Region 6 titles at Cottonwood Regional Park on Friday, with each edging the other school for first place.
Brighton’s Caroline Rupper edged Skyline’s Blaklee Butler for the girls individual title, while Skyline’s Thomas Boyden continued his dominant senior season with an easy win in the boys race. Boyden won by a whopping 37 seconds.

SPANISH FORK — Springville’s girls dominated the Region 8 meet at Spanish Fork Sports Park on Friday, while the boys edged Park City to claim their title.
Park City’s Reese McGrath claimed the boys individual title with a narrow win over Springville’s top finisher, Jackson Adams. On the girls side, Springville’s Heidi Sumsion enjoyed a 10-second cushion in winning her title.
