A photo of Felicity Huffman wearing her prison uniform has surfaced online just days into her 13-day sentence for the college admissions scandal.
The photo shows Huffman wearing a dark green jumpsuit while inside the low-security federal prison FCI Dublin, which is located in Dublin, Calif. She is also seen wearing a white hat and a pair of glasses, according to CNN.
The photo was captured five days into her two-week prison sentence for her role in the college admissions scandal.
Huffman was sentenced in September to 14 days in prison after she pleaded guilty to fraud charges in May in the aftermath of the college admissions scandal. She was also asked to pay $15,000 in fines for her role in the scandal.
Huffman was the first of 30 parents who were charged in the scandal to start her prison sentence. Huffman will serve 13 days in prison because she served one day in federal custody back in March, as reported by the Deseret News.
Huffman apologized for her role in the scandal during the court proceedings in September.
“In my desperation to be a good mother I talked myself into believing that all I was doing was giving my daughter a fair shot,” Huffman wrote in the letter, according to the Deseret News. “I see the irony in that statement now because what I have done is the opposite of fair. I have broken the law, deceived the educational community, betrayed my daughter and failed my family.”
