Jennifer Lawrence and Manhattan art dealer Cooke Maroney have officially tied the knot, Lawrence’s publicist confirmed on Sunday.
The wedding was held on Saturday at the Belcourt of Newport in Newport, Rhode Island, and was attended by guests such as Amy Schumer, Emma Stone, Adele and Kris Jenner, according to CNN.
According to USA Today, Maroney is the director of Gladstone 64 art gallery in New York’s Upper East Side. He and Lawrence began dating in the summer of 2018 and confirmed their engagement in February.
In an interview for the “NAKED with Catt Sadler” podcast in June, Lawrence told Sadler that when she met Maroney, she was not planning to get married any time soon, but that she immediately knew he was the one.
“I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other, we wanted to commit fuller. He’s my best friend, so I want to legally bind him to me forever,” she said. “Fortunately, the paperwork exists for such a thing. It’s the greatest. You can find your favorite person on the planet, you’re like: You can’t leave.”
She discussed with Sadler the ease of her wedding planning.
“I’ve been in a good place. I haven’t been neurotic about it. I’m, like, too lazy to be neurotic,” she said. “I saw a dress I liked, I was like, ‘That’s the dress.’ I saw a venue, I was like, ‘Cool, we got the venue.’”
Lawrence, who is often seen wearing Dior on red carpets and who has been a celebrity ambassador for the fashion house since 2012, fittingly walked down the aisle in a Dior gown, according to Today.
