SALT LAKE CITY — The University of Southern California’s crew team foreshadowed the college admissions scandal back in August 2018.
The USC rowing team’s tweet reads, “Want to become a Division I athlete? Look into joining our Trojan Rowing Family!”
The tweet includes an image that reads, “No previous rowing experience necessary.”
Interestingly, Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulliwere accused of paying $500,000 to get their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Giannulli, on the USC crew team, which I wrote about for the Deseret News. The daughters had no previous experience on the crew team.
The poster elicited a number of sarcastic comments on social media, according to the New York Post.
Apparently, there was another fake poster circulating around, according to Fox News. As TMZ reported, a sign saying “No experience? No problem.” is hanging in the crew team’s locker room. Of course, Fox News reports the photo is fake.
