Warning: This episode contains spoilers for season 2, episode 3 of ‘The Mandalorian’

“Star Wars: The Mandalorian” brought us some older characters in season 2’s third episode, and also a new one in the form of Sasha Banks.

  • Banks — a professional wrestler — debuted on the show after much speculation about her role.

Banks plays the character Koska Reeves, who is a Mandalorian warrior who has aligned herself with Bo-Katan Kryze, a major character from “The Clone Wars.”

We don’t learn much about Reeves in this episode. She has a quick wit and offer some snappy remarks to Mando. Other than that, we’re clueless.

  • Reeves will be teaming with Kryze to try and find the darksaber, which is currently with Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Espositio).

She briefly appeared in the first trailer for the second season. As she appeared, the voiceover text spoke about the Jedi, so there was some speculation that she would be a Jedi. There was some speculation she could be Ahsoka or Sabine Wren, one of the main characters in “Star Wars Rebels.” Instead, we learned she is Reeves.

Cageside Seats speculated there could more to come for the character.

  • “We’ll see how big Sasha’s role is, but this does indicate she won’t be an extra or hidden under makeup for her first big acting gig.”
