A former BYU student and tech CEO had a short-lived run on this season of “The Bachelorette.”

Garrett Aida, 33, was a contestant on the fall 2021 edition of “The Bachelorette,” which premiered on Oct. 19. A fan of salsa dancing, he had his sights set on starting a family right off the bat.

  • “Garrett is hoping for a family one day, and if a woman does not want kids, then he is not interested. Garrett is serious about finding the one and is ready to have a little fun finding her!” reads his “Bachelorette” bio.

Aida initially confirmed his appearance on the show through his Instagram page, showing off a picture of Michelle Young, this season’s bachelorette. But during the premiere episode, he ended up being one of six men sent home, Variety reported.

Here are some additional facts about him:

  • Garrett is the CEO of the tech company, Dark Energy.
  • He’s a fan of “traveling the world, skydiving, paragliding and speed flying,” according to his “Bachelorette” bio.
  • Garrett calls himself a “plant daddy.”
  • He had a bowl-cut haircut back when he was a child.
  • Garrett loves pickles.
