The next trailer for “Spider-Man: No Way Home” will debut at a fan event Tuesday in Los Angeles, giving a slew of Marvel enthusiasts a chance to see the trailer before the rest of the world.
Marvel and Sony announced the new fan event over the weekend, according to ComicBook.com, which was the first to report the story.
- The event will give fans in Los Angeles a chance to view the trailer before anyone else does.
- It will take place at the Regal Sherman Oaks in California. The event will start at 5 p.m.
- Sony has not responded to a request for comment on how to watch the premiere.
But the fan event comes as anticipation builds over the new “Spider-Man: No Way Home” trailer. With the film out on Dec. 17, we haven’t received many details about what to expect in the movie.
We received our first “Spider-Man: No Way Home” trailer in August, showing a mindblowing adventure where Spider-Man unlocks a new universe where no one knows Peter Parker is Spider-Man — or so we think, as I wrote for the Deseret News. We also learned that the Green Goblin, Doctor Ock (played by Alfred Molina, who played the role in the “Spider-Man 2” film starring Tobey Maguire) and Sandman would all return for the project.
A lot of speculation came after Sony Pictures released the first poster for “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” which showed a clue that Electro, a villain who appeared in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” with Andrew Garfield, would show up in the movie, too.
Clearly, Marvel and Sony have been holding their cards close to the vest for “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” The upcoming trailer may let us see at least one more of those cards from the deck.
