Utah Tech scored for the first time since midway through the second quarter, as Victor Galabis hit Joey Hobert for a 18-yard touchdown on a quick six-play, 75-yard drive. BYU 45, Utah Tech 26.

Jake Oldroyd tacked on a 32-yard field goal, capping a 46-yard drive with points. BYU 45, Utah Tech 20.

The Cougars have scored 31 straight points.

BYU has scored 28 straight points, the latest coming on an Isaac Rex 32-yard touchdown reception. BYU 42, Utah Tech 20.

After a couple empty possessions, the Cougars moved the ball 58 yards ini just three plays to open up a three-score lead.

Jaren Hall has a career-high 456 passing yards with five touchdowns and one interception.

Third quarter

BYU has its first two-score lead of the game, as Jaren Hall ran for 10 yards for a touchdown. BYU 35, Utah Tech 20.

While it goes down as a 55-yard drive, the Cougars drew four penalties for 55 yards on the drive, including an offensive pass interference that wiped out a touchdown grab.

It hasn’t been easy for BYU today, but the Cougars finally have a little bit of breathing room.

Second quarter

BYU has its biggest lead of the day, scoring on a 4-yard touchdown catch by Keanu Hill — his third TD of the half — after Utah Tech had its first turnover of the game. BYU 28, Utah Tech 20.

Jakob Robinson intercepted a long pass to set the Cougars up with the ball at their own 31, and Jaren Hall led a BYU drive that covered 69 yards in 10 plays.

Hall has 275 passing yards and four touchdowns in the first half, with Hill at 137 receiving yards.

It sure looks that way, with the way both teams are passing the ball with ease right now, as BYU goes back in front on a 45-yard touchdown reception on a pretty long ball from Jaren Hall. BYU 21, Utah Tech 20.

Can BYU get a stop?

This one is turning into a track meet, as Utah Tech drove 75 yards before scoring on a 9-yard Joey Hobert catch. Utah Tech 20, BYU 14.

Both defenses are getting shredded right now.

One quick score is countered by another, as BYU scores on a 59-yard catch by Chase Roberts. BYU 14, Utah Tech 13.

That was a career-long reception by Roberts to cap a quick three-play, 82-yard drive for the Cougars.

Utah Tech is back out in front, thanks to a long bomb.

The Trailblazers scored a touchdown on an 80-yard catch for Deven Osborne on a third-and-10, giving Osborne 134 receiving yards on just two catches. Utah Tech 13, BYU 7.

Utah Tech has scored three of its five drives and has 211 yards of total offense five minutes into the second quarter.

Keanu Hill is having himself a nice game, and his touchdown catch has BYU in the lead.

Hill snagged a 30-yard touchdown grab in tight coverage, capping a 55-yard drive after the Cougars stopped a fourth-down attempt near midfield. BYU 7, Utah Tech 6.

Hill already has three receptions for 70 yards, including a toe-tapping 30-yard catch earlier in the drive to get BYU into Utah Tech territory.

First quarter

This has been a horrible start for BYU.

It could have been worse.

Utah Tech adds a second field goal — this one a 21-yard yarder from Connor Brooksby — to capitalize on a Lopini Katoa fumble at the BYU 34. Utah Tech 6, BYU 0.

The Cougar defense finally held inside the 10 to force the field goal.
