The top 3A runners in the state secured their spots at the 3A state championship in two weeks meet by qualifying at the 3A divisional meet at Lakeside Park in Orem on Tuesday.

Teams from regions 12, 13 and 14 were split up into two divisional meets, with the top 10 teams in each divisional meet qualifying for state, along with the top six individuals who weren’t on a qualifying team.

Carbon’s Rozlyn Stowe — the defending 3A state champ — had the fastest qualifying time for the girls at 18:47. Emery’s Camdon Larsen posted the top qualifying time for the boys in 16:45.6

Carbon’s girls and Ogden’s boys are the defending state champs.
