Disney Plus will debut on streaming devices everywhere on Nov. 12, and now we have a slight clue into what time the product begins.
One look at Marvel.com’s Disney Plus page shows a countdown clock to the launch of Disney Plus. If you trace the time, it would bring you to 7 a.m. MT (9 a.m. ET) on Tuesday.
“This might come as a surprise to some, since a Nov. 12 launch date might have indicated that as soon as the clock strikes midnight the streaming service will launch. But there’s no point in pulling an all-nighter, and if you’re an early riser on the west coast, waking up a 6 a.m. to start immediately watching the shows you’ve been waiting for all this time is going to be the perfect plan for you,” according to Inside the Magic, a Disney news website.
Yes, but: There’s not official announcement from Disney what time the new service will launch.
- As ComicBook.com noted, the clock could be a countdown to when Disney Plus announces the beginning of Disney Plus. And DIsney could launch its service beginning at midnight on Tuesday, too, with a surprise launch.
- “Either way, it’s the best indication we’ve gotten about the Disney Plus launch time so far,” according to ComicBook.com.
More information: Disney Plus won’t come with a full archive of Disney content, though. As multiple outlets reported this week, Disney Plus will not have several controversial films form the Disney catalog, like “Song of the South,” which reportedly has scenes that critics consider to be racist.
And some other controversial scenes from “Dumbo” and “Toy Story 2” have been edited out as well, according to my report for the Deseret News.
