Warning: This review contains spoilers for Season 2, Episode 8 of “The Mandalorian.”

“Star Wars” icon Mark Hamill recently reacted to the surprise Luke Skywalker cameo in “The Mandalorian” season 2 finale, hinting that he knew about the moment months in advance.

What happened:

“The Mandalorian” season 2 finale had one of the biggest moments in “Star Wars” history when Luke Skywalker — fresh off destroying the Death Star in “Return of the Jedi” — saves the Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) and his crew from destruction.

  • In a scene that will make anyone cry, Mando then turned over Grogu (Baby Yoda) to Luke, who promised to train the young child in the ways of the Force.

Hamill reacts

Hamill — whose face was used with CGI technology for the epic moment — tweeted about the appearance:

  • “Seen anything good on TV lately?”
  • “The fact that we were able to keep my involvement a secret for over a year with no leaks is nothing less than a miracle. A real triumph for spoiler-haters everywhere!”

Hamill also apparently appeared as droid EV-9D9 in the Tatooine cantina during the fifth episode of season 1, according to Deadline.
