The Bluffdale community is hosting a fundraising yard sale event at Summit Academy Bluffdale on June 20 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Money raised will go to help Summit Academy special education teacher, Ravien Parsons, who was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome in March, to purchase a wheelchair-accessible van. The yard sale will be held outside with social distancing measures in place, and masks and gloves are highly recommended. Those who cannot attend the yard sale but still wish to donate can do so at helphopelive.org/campaign/17402.

The Park City Summit County Arts Council has announced a call for artists for the 2020 Summit Arts Showcase, which will be located at the Red Barn in Oakley on July 18 from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Artists working in any visual art medium are encouraged to apply. Space is limited and preference is given to artists from Summit County. The deadline to apply is June 26. Artist applications are available here and more information can be found at pcscarts.org.

The Gateway in Salt Lake City has announced a new “Dine to Donate” punch card which will help contribute to the restaurant community. Diners can collect punches on the card by eating at one of The Gateway’s participating restaurants before July 31. Once the card has been filled up with four lunches and four dinners, The Gateway will make a $5 donation to the Tip Your Server program, where every donation will go directly to hospitality workers in Salt Lake City. Everyone who turns in a punch card will also receive a #SaltLakeStrong tote bag. Diners can print their own “Dine to Donate” punch card here or pick one up from a participating restaurant at The Gateway.
