SALT LAKE CITY — It has now been more than three months since Utah Gov. Gary Herbert declared a state of emergency in Utah due to the coronavirus pandemic in early March.
Over the past three months, government leaders have encouraged Utahns to limit social gatherings, leave home infrequently, maintain social distance and wear face coverings in public, among other recommendations to slow the spread of COVID-19 as part of Utah’s Health Guidance System at coronavirus.utah.gov.
Most of the state is currently in the low-risk (yellow) phase, with Salt Lake City in the moderate-risk (orange) phase and Kane County in the new normal (green) phase of Utah’s Health Guidance System.
