Dinosaurs once roamed through Utah. Thanks to Google, they’re back.

What’s going on:

  • Google has released 10 new augmented reality dinosaurs that can appear in your Google search results.
  • The new augmented reality feature will show you what the dinosaurs would look like in real life places, such as your backyard or in your bedroom. It’s sort of terrifying.
  • According to The Verge, the feature uses the AR system developed for the Jurassic World Alive AR game.

How to find it

  • Simple. Open your phone. You’ll need either an Android with 7.0 software or later, or an iPhone with iOS 11 or later.
  • Open the Google app or find Google search.
  • Type in a dinosaur name. The ones available for the feature include Tyrannosaurus rex, Velociraptor, Triceratops, Spinosaurus, Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Dilophosaurus, Pteranodon, and Parasaurolophus.
  • Scroll down to see an AR version of the dinosaur. Click “view in 3D.”
  • The screen will then show the dinosaur right in front of you, as if it was really there.
