Fans are still waiting for the first trailer for “The Mandalorian” season two. And a new rumor suggests a “Clone Wars” fan favorite may appear.
What’s happening:
Ahsoka Tano — the main character of “The Clone Wars” — will likely make an appearance in “The Mandalorian” season 2 trailer, according to a report from We Got This Covered, which shares news and rumors about entertainment franchises.
Here’s what the report says:
“Apparently, Rosario Dawson recently shot some footage for ‘The Mandalorian’ trailer, which is said to be exclusively for marketing purposes and won’t reflect the plot of the show itself. The report goes on to claim that we’ll see Ahsoka fighting off two bounty hunters in a familiar ‘Star Wars’ location before she grabs herself a beverage, which could well be the iconic Mos Eisley Cantina that briefly appeared in the fifth episode of the first season.”
Of course, none of this is confirmed from Lucasfilm, Star Wars or Disney. I reached out to Disney Plus for comment on “The Mandalorian” season 2 trailer but I have no received a response yet.
When does ‘Mandalorian’ season 2 come out?
- Disney CEO Bob Chapek said back in May that Disney expected to release the second season on Disney Plus in October, CNBC reports.
When does the new trailer come out?
- There’s no confirmed date for the trailer release. Some rumors suggested it would drop during the Portland Trail Blazers vs. Los Angeles Lakers playoff games a few weeks back, but that didn’t happen.
