“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” debuted its first trailer this week, revealing the first cast of the show and minor details about what to expect.
What to expect:
The series will follow six Utah wives who “navigate a society fueled by religion, beauty, wealth and perfection,” according to People magazine.
- The show will have multiple religions, including one Jewish believer, one Pentecostal believer and someone who is “Jewish by heritage and Mormon by choice.” Two women said they left The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Bravo producer and “Watch What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen told Entertainment Weekly the show will take place in Salt Lake City amid “upscale mountain living.”
- “We’re always looking for cities that have their own personality, a point of view.”
- “It’s a locale we’ve never been, and it’s gorgeous and it’s unique, and when you have the overlay of the Mormon culture, it becomes something really interesting.”
