Disney CEO Bob Chapek spent a whopping $12.5 million on a new home in California, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

  • The purchase of the new home — located in Westlake Village, California — is the area’s biggest deal since 2019 when NuVet owner Blake Kirschbaum bought a compound in the same area for $35 million.

  • There is 24/7 security in the community.
  • Famous neighbor’s include WWE superstar The Miz, Heather Locklear, Los Angeles Rams wide receive Cooper Kupp and internet celebrity Trish Paytas.
  • The home is actually “only a short jog away” from Chapek’s former home, too.

Chapek’s time with Disney

Chapek was named the CEO of Disney in February 2020, according to The Associated Press. He replaced Disney CEO Bob Iger in the role.

Chapek’s tenure was met with an immediate problem — the coronavirus pandemic. The outbreak of the novel coronavirus led to Disney shutting down its parks, including Disney World and Disneyland. Many of Disney’s films were also pulled from theaters during the pandemic.
