“The Bad Batch” — the new “Star Wars” spinoff project — is less than one week away from release, and there is plenty of “Star Wars” content to check out to get you prepared.
“The Bad Batch,” tells the story of a group of Clone Troopers trying to make their way in the galaxy far, far away in the months after the Clone Wars ends. The series will show us what the early days of the Empire are like.
As StarWars.com explained, “The Clone Wars” introduced the Bad Batch at the beginning of Season 7. Four of the first few episodes dealt specifically with the Bad Batch, giving us details about their origins and personalities. Those episodes include:
But “The Clone Wars” previously introduced the origins of the Bad Batch — which is also named Clone Force 99 — earlier in the show. The group gets its name from Clone Trooper 99, who is introduced in earlier “Clone Wars” episode. The show also introduces the new recruit named Echo. The show explores 99 and Echo, setting us up for more details that will become important with the Bad Batch.

When does ‘Bad Batch’ come out?
“Bad Batch” debuts with a 70-minute premiere on May 4 — or “Star Wars Day” — with new episodes being released every Friday beginning May 7. The series will run for 10 episodes.
