Just a couple of months after Michael Buble secured his first win as a coach on “The Voice” — in his very first season — the competition is back with a new batch of singers.
For longtime fans of the show, the coaching lineup will likely be exciting — an original coach is back in his red swivel chair looking for a victory (hint: it’s not Blake Shelton).
Here’s a brief overview of what to expect from Season 27.
When does ‘The Voice’ 2025 season premiere?
The 2025 season of “The Voice” premieres Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. MST on NBC.
Per NBC.com, Season 27 comes with a significant schedule change. Rather than airing in its usual Monday and Tuesday evening time slots, “The Voice” will only air on Mondays all the way through the Playoff round of the competition.
Some episodes will air on Tuesdays beginning with the live portion of the show, according to NBC.com.
Episodes of “The Voice” will be available to stream the following day on Peacock.
Who are the new coaches on ‘The Voice’ 2025?
Only one coach is returning to “The Voice” from this past season.
Buble will be seeking back-to-back victories in Season 27. The traditional pop singer has previously talked about how being a coach on “The Voice” is a role he doesn’t take lightly.
“I know that this is a TV show, and I know that there’s a game involved and that each of us are playing a part, but I can tell you this, it’s not a game for any of us,” Buble previously told Entertainment Weekly. “We talk about it off camera. We know that each of these people, this is their life, their destiny, their dream. And we know that we’re a big part of this journey. And while it isn’t the beginning or end of their journey, we know that we’re a part of it and we take that responsibility really seriously.”
Season 27 will see the return of original “Voice” coach Adam Levine. The Maroon 5 frontman, who had a friendly rivalry with fellow longtime coach alongside Blake Shelton, left the show in 2019. Levine has shared his excitement to return to the show.
“It’s going to be awesome,” he said, per Today. “Blake isn’t on it.”
John Legend, a nine-time coach on the show returns after taking a break last season.
Country star Kelsea Ballerini is the only first-time coach on the show this season, though she’s no stranger to “The Voice.” The singer previously filled in as a temporary coach for Kelly Clarkson during Season 20.
Who won the last season of ‘The Voice’?
Sofronio Vasquez, a singer on Buble’s team, won Season 26 of “The Voice,” as the Deseret News reported. The finale concluded a somewhat unusual season that included two unexpected dropouts and two first-time coaches.
