The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the dedication and open house dates for the Ephraim Utah Temple.
The Ephraim Utah Temple will be dedicated Sunday, Oct. 11, by Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, per a news release published Monday on ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
It will be dedicated less than six months after the Lindon Utah Temple is dedicated on May 3.
“I express my love for you and my testimony that we are engaged in the work of Almighty God,” former Church President Russell M. Nelson said when he announced the Ephraim Temple in May 2021.
“Jesus is the Christ. This is his church. (And) we are his servants.”

President Nelson first announced plans for the Ephraim Utah Temple in a prerecorded message played at a news conference inside the Manti Tabernacle on May 1, 2021.
The Ephraim temple was the only one of the 200 temples President Nelson announced during his tenure that was announced outside of a general conference.
Since then, two more temples have been announced outside of general conference under the direction of current Church President Dallin H. Oaks and his counselors in the First Presidency. The first was announced for Portland, Maine, and the second was announced on Sunday for Marysville, Washington.
A free public open house period for the Ephraim Utah Temple will run everyday (excluding Sundays) from Sept. 2 to Sept. 19.
Preceding the public open house period, the temple will open for media day tours on Aug. 31 and private tours for invited guests on Sept. 1.
Latter-day Saints in the Ephraim Utah Temple district will be able to join the temple’s dedicatory session through a 10 a.m. broadcast and a 2 p.m. rebroadcast on Oct. 11.
