For some, today is the day to bask in the feeling of sweet relief from hitting submit on their tax forms. For others, it’s the dread of seeing that final balance. No matter which side of the 1040 form you’re on, the food industry has decided we all deserve a win.

If you’ve been crunching the numbers all day and forgot to eat or plan for dinner, don’t panic. We’ve rounded up the best Tax Day freebies and discounts to satisfy any craving without breaking the (newly emptied) bank.

From Del Taco to Krispy Kreme, here’s what’s on the table:

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

Customers who have the Freddy’s Rewards app can score 250 bonus points with any purchase April 15 to redeem on future Freddy’s orders, according to the Krazy Coupon Lady.

Mountain Mike’s Pizza

Mountain Mike’s Pizza rewards members can get $10 off a minimum purchase of $40 today only, according to the Krazy Coupon Lady.

Kroger

Kroger is stepping into the discounted food ring, offering customers a buy one, get one 50% off deal on Private Selection frozen meals from April 15 to April 22, according to Today.

Del Taco

On Tax Day this year, Del Taco is offering a free Snack Taco with a $5 purchase, a buy-one-get-one deal on crispy fish tacos and a $1 grilled chicken taco.

Olive Garden

The Italian food chain announced its buy one, take one promotion will run until May 3, according to USA Today.

The offer is available for dine-in, to-go and delivery customers. The offer applies to a select menu of entrées where diners order one and get a second, chilled entrée to-go. The entrée options start at $14.99.

Grubhub

Grubhub is giving back to food delivery customers this year. The company is returning $100,000 in Grubhub credit to 5,000 lucky customers who paid delivery fees from any food delivery app in 2025, according to a press release sent to Deseret News.

On April 15, diners can visit GrubhubFeeReturn.com and upload a 2025 receipt from any delivery app with fees for the chance to receive $20 in Grubhub credit.

The delivery app isn’t stopping there. It is also offering $10.40 off orders $50 or more from Krispy Kreme and Chili’s. It is also offering $10 off for new Grubhub diners’ first order of $50 or more with the code “FEERETURN10.”

Jersey Mike’s Subs

Jersey Mike’s customers can get the Boardwalk Bundle starting at $10.99. The bundle includes a regular Jersey Shore’s Favorite sub, chips and a drink.

Pizza Hut

Pizza Hut is offering its customers a large three-topping pizza starting at $10 this Tax Day. The offer is available in-store, online or on the Pizza Hut app.

Burger King

This year, Tax Day falls on a Wednesday, which lines up perfectly with Burger King’s April promotion: Whopper Wednesday.

Every Wednesday, customers can order a regular Whopper sandwich for $3.99 or get a small Whopper combo meal that comes with a small fry and drink for $6.99.

The promotion is available for orders in-store and in-app only.

Krispy Kreme

Those who visit Krispy Kreme on April 15 can purchase any dozen doughnuts at regular price and get a second dozen of Original Glazed for free.

The offer is available for orders in-store, drive-thru, and pickup or delivery through the Krispy Kreme app, according to USA Today.

Popeyes

Popeyes is offering customers a 25% off Tax Day three-piece tenders combo, featuring the tenders, one regular side, one biscuit and a drink, available on the Popeyes app or on Popeyes.com.

Those who join Popeye’s loyalty program will receive an additional Tax Day offer; a free chicken sandwich, two-piece signature chicken, three-piece tenders, fried pickles or six-piece wings with their first digital purchase of $10 or more.

Wendy’s

Wendy’s is offering customers a free six-piece nuggets with a $5 in-app purchase on April 15.

Potbelly

Potbelly is offering customers a buy-one-get-one-free deal when they order one original size sandwich or wrap on April 15 with the code “BOGO.”

Subway

Those who are a part of the Subway rewards program can get a free footlong sandwich when they purchase one with the code “FLBOGO.”

Subway is also offering 1,040 lucky customers who take advantage of the offer a full refund on their order, giving them both sandwiches for free.

Goldfish

The golden snack that smiles back is smiling extra big this Tax Day. Parents can visit GoldfishParentTax.com on April 15 to answer a few questions about their family’s snacking habits. If you “overtaxed” your kids, Goldfish will refund your kids’ Goldfish stash by sending two free bags of Goldfish crackers while supplies last.
