American pizza chain Pizza Hut announced this week that it will be making a major temporary name change for this year’s NFL season.

During football season, the brand will be dropping “Pizza” from its name and going just by “Hut,” per the New York Post.

“You can just call us HUT for the next 25 weeks,” the company wrote in a post on X.

The post features a photo of its Plano, Texas, location, which shows a banner covering the word “pizza” on one of the store’s exterior signs.

The brand has also updated its social media accounts to show a logo missing the word pizza.

After the company’s 25-week football promotion ends, Pizza Hut is expected to return to its original name.

The Pizza Hut name change comes as its parent company works on a multibillion-dollar sale of the decades-old brand, per Fox Business.

In June, it was reported that Pizza Hut’s parent company Yum! was in talks with private equity firm LongRange Capital over a potential sale of the pizza chain.

It was later announced by Yum! that LongRange has agreed to purchase all of Pizza Hut’s operations outside of mainland China for $1.5 billion. The company’s mainland China operations would be purchased by Yum China Holdings for $1.2 billion in a separate deal.

Earlier this month, Yum! said the sale was on track to close in August, per Fox Business.
