SALT LAKE CITY — The 2020 Major League Soccer season is already fast approaching, and Tuesday Real Salt Lake announced its full preseason schedule, which will once again include spending time in Arizona.

RSL will open its first training camp with head coach Freddy Juarez at the helm on Jan. 18, and the club will spend the first week at its facility in Herriman. The group will then travel to Phoenix on Jan. 26 and come back on Feb. 1.

Juarez and company will stay in Utah until Feb. 11 before a 12-day trip to Tucson, where it will play three matches as part of the Visit Tucson Sun Cup. Those contests will be against the Sporting Kansas City (Feb. 15), Houston Dynamo (Feb. 19) and Phoenix Rising FC (Feb. 22 in Scottsdale).

During a season that saw plenty of turmoil off the field, RSL finished 2019 third in MLS’ Western Conference under Juarez, who took over as interim head coach in August 2019 before having that tag removed in December.
