The NBA is on hiatus until at least April 10 in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, but according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, team owners are preparing for the break to extend up to at least three months.
In a story on Sunday night, Wojnarowski reported that teams are readying for the possibility that the season won’t start up again until mid-June. Wojnarowski noted how the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advised on Sunday that gatherings of more than 50 people should not take place for at least eight weeks, which would be early May.
Wojnarowski also reported Sunday that players have been informed they can leave the city in which they play during the hiatus (that would not currently include players who are quarantined).
