Burgess started all 14 games at strong safety for the Utes in 2019, his first season as a starter for Kyle Whittingham’s program. He was third on the team last season with 81 tackles while adding 7.5 tackles for loss and two fumble recoveries, tied for fourth in the Pac-12.

Before the draft, Draft Wire asked Burgess what the team who selects him is getting.
