PROVO — Athletic director Tom Holmoe’s rebuild of BYU’s decimated 2020 football schedule continues.

Thursday morning, veteran college football reporter Brett McMurphy of Stadium.com reported via Twitter that BYU will host the UTSA Roadrunners on Oct. 10 at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo.

Texas-San Antonio could become the third team from Texas on BYU’s schedule. Wednesday night, Keff Ciardello of the Austin American-Statesman reported that Texas State will travel to BYU for a “pay game,” likely in October.

UTSA has been in the FBS ranks since 2012.

If the two new reports are accurate, BYU would have seven games on its schedule as of Thursday morning: Navy, Army, Troy, Houston, Texas State, Texas-San Antonio and North Alabama.
